Our Pledge¶
We as members, contributors, and leaders pledge to make participation in TFGrid Studio a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, caste, color, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
We pledge to act and interact in ways that contribute to an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy community.
Our Standards¶
✅ Expected Behavior¶
Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment:
- Respect: Treating all community members with respect and consideration
- Kindness: Being welcoming and supportive to newcomers
- Constructive Feedback: Providing helpful, actionable criticism
- Collaboration: Working together toward common goals
- Responsibility: Taking accountability for mistakes and learning from them
- Focus: Keeping discussions relevant and productive
- Empathy: Showing understanding of different viewpoints and experiences
- Professionalism: Maintaining professional standards in all interactions
❌ Unacceptable Behavior¶
Examples of unacceptable behavior include:
- Harassment: Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, personal or political attacks
- Discrimination: Any form of discrimination or exclusionary jokes/language
- Privacy Violation: Publishing others' private information without permission
- Intimidation: Threatening, stalking, or doxxing community members
- Sexual Content: Unwelcome sexual attention or advances
- Disruption: Deliberately disrupting discussions or community activities
- Spam: Excessive self-promotion or off-topic posts
- Bad Faith: Arguing in bad faith or sea-lioning
- Weaponization: Using the Code of Conduct as a tool for harassment
Scope¶
This Code of Conduct applies to all TFGrid Studio spaces, including but not limited to:
Online Spaces:
- GitHub repositories (issues, pull requests, discussions)
- Official Discord/Slack channels
- Social media accounts
- Email communications
- Documentation sites
- Video calls and meetings
Offline Spaces:
- Conferences and meetups
- Workshops and training sessions
- Any event representing TFGrid Studio
This Code of Conduct also applies when an individual is officially representing the community in public spaces.
Enforcement¶
Reporting¶
If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please report it by:
- Email: contact@tfgrid.studio
- GitHub: Create a confidential security advisory
- Direct Message: Contact a maintainer privately
What to include in your report:
- Your contact information
- Names (usernames) of people involved
- Description of the behavior
- Links or screenshots (if applicable)
- Any other relevant context
- Whether you prefer to remain anonymous
All reports will be kept confidential. We will never share reporter information without explicit consent unless required by law.
Response Timeline¶
- Acknowledgment: Within 24 hours
- Initial Review: Within 3 business days
- Resolution: Varies by complexity, typically within 1-2 weeks
You will receive updates on the progress of your report.
Enforcement Actions¶
Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying and enforcing our standards. They will take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any behavior that they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.
Possible consequences include:
1. Warning¶
Impact: A private, written warning explaining the violation and why the behavior was inappropriate.
Duration: Single incident
2. Temporary Ban¶
Impact: A temporary ban from all community spaces (GitHub, Discord, etc.)
Duration: Days to weeks, depending on severity
3. Permanent Ban¶
Impact: Permanent ban from all TFGrid Studio community spaces
Duration: Indefinite
Appeal Process¶
If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you may appeal by:
- Emailing contact@tfgrid.studio with "Appeal" in the subject
- Providing new information or context
- Explaining why you believe the decision was incorrect
Appeals will be reviewed by a different maintainer when possible.
Guidelines for Specific Spaces¶
GitHub¶
Issues and Pull Requests:
- Stay on topic
- Be patient with maintainers (they're volunteers)
- Don't demand immediate responses
- Provide complete information (logs, versions, steps to reproduce)
- Close resolved issues
Code Reviews:
- Focus on code, not people ("This function could be improved" vs "You wrote bad code")
- Suggest alternatives
- Acknowledge good work
- Accept feedback gracefully
Discussions:
- Search before posting duplicates
- Use appropriate categories
- Mark solutions when found
- Help others when you can
Chat (Discord/Slack)¶
- Keep conversations in appropriate channels
- No excessive @mentions
- Use threads for long discussions
- Respect Do Not Disturb status
- No spam or unsolicited DMs
- Keep memes and off-topic content minimal
Social Media¶
- Don't speak on behalf of TFGrid Studio without authorization
- Be respectful in comments and replies
- Disclose your relationship when promoting TFGrid Studio projects
- Don't engage with trolls or bad-faith actors
Maintainer Responsibilities¶
Project maintainers are responsible for:
- Modeling: Exemplifying the Code of Conduct in their own behavior
- Enforcing: Fairly and consistently enforcing the Code of Conduct
- Communicating: Clearly communicating expectations and decisions
- Transparency: Being transparent about enforcement actions (while respecting privacy)
- Improvement: Continuously improving community health
Maintainers who do not follow or enforce the Code of Conduct in good faith may face temporary or permanent repercussions as determined by other members of the project's leadership.
